The above photos show the rails remaining in the street in front of the car shop. This build is the largest Jackson and Sharp building remaining in Wilmington. The saw tooth roof is a dead giveaway that this is an old manufacturing building. The car shop is now used for a warehouse. Click any photo for a larger image.

The left photo shows an overall view of the North end, an interesting fact is that the first two stalls were used by the Wilmington and Western Railroad to store their steam locomotive and coaches in the early 1960's before they started operation and built their present facility in Marshallton. There was also a track along the side of the building that the W&W would use when they were servicing their equipment before the railroad started operation. They used the plant switcher a small Plymouth locomotive to move the train out to work on it on nice days. The left photo show and South end of the building. Click any photo for a larger image.
