The building known as the Steel Mill burned down many years ago, ironically it was being used by a sprinkler company at the time. Today the foundation, floor, and part of it's block walls are still visible. It is being used for storage by a company that appears to be in the steel siding business. We don't know to what extent Jackson and Sharp worked steel at this facility. It may have been more of a fabrication area or it could have been a real mill where they really made steel.
